Very deceptive company, first question they will ask you is have you build a home before, if the answer is no, they will start to rip you off. They do not deliver on time nor on quality. Be careful with the finish, first think to discuss is colour selection and the level of the finish. I had awful experience with them, never wish it for anybody else to have same. We had our house custom built and it was one of the easiest experiences for us.

Exceptional service
My family, friends and contacts and I would NOT go with Rivergum again. If you have a decent budget, ignore the display homes and start finding bespoke builders – where it's the owner doing a lot of work or at least managing your job and using a small number of trades. Darren was extremely considerate where cost were concerned, I had a budget and he did his best to stay within my price range. The overall project is better than I expected. The project was finished in a timely manner and handover was a smooth process.
Our dream reno's that we worked hard to afford was a terrible experience. We recently built our first multiple development with SA Designer Homes. Peter and his team made the whole process easy for us. There were no hidden surprises, thanks to the fixed price we agreed on. We found Peter and his team to be very friendly, polite, professional and their communication was of a very high standard. Peter kept us informed throughout the build and answered any questions we had, either over the phone, by email, in person or on site.
Great house build
A beautiful, quality build with a builder who listens, cares and goes the extra mile. We have now been in our Dechellis home for 9 months and really love living here. The design and planning seemed to take forever but the attention to detail throughout this process has given us a truly beautiful home.
They even let the layers dry thoroughly so the finish would be totally even and fully supported. They put cute little thin slices of brick along under the window sill falls... But I found going out to the actual suppliers was really a good way. At least if you wanted off range items, , the supplier can arrange with the builder as per usual, and you don't end up trying to project manage too many things yourself. I loved the way they sent us out to the smeg warehouse and showroom, instead of giving us limited choices. Of course, this resulted in my hubby finding a $5000 oven – but seeing as it is a dehydrator, proofer, warmer, pyrolitic with twin fans, space for 6 full size baking dishes at one time...
Smooth sailing build with the best builders in town
We aren't the only ones who've had similar issues with the build and with them actually fixing their mistakes. We do all of peters painting work and we know when he calls us up for a job that it’s going to be neat, clean and 100% ready for us to do our thing. His communication throughout each project is second to none and his quality control on all his trades always results in a high quality home.
Don's 'can do' attitude and ability to come up with solutions has made the process as stress-free as possible. He is also willing to listen and consider ideas from others . Don's brother Scott has largely built the home himself with he and Don managing the o... While everyone is complementing their homes, they lack respect to the nearby residents. I have asked neighbors and we have never seen their supervisor on site if there is any to discuss issues.

We have had delays with our kitchen and the painter going to hospital, and they are still coming in on time. The tiler is putting tiles we bought recently in our pantry for a few extra bucks... I loved being sent to a proper kitchen place, instead of just any old tradie installing your kitchen. They are currently building displays at seaford heights, if you want a gander at the inner workings, Sultar. Just asking as we are considering building with Format and some first hand experience would be great to hear.
He seemed to only know how to deal with one type of customer – heaven help you if you're not run of the mill. The sales guy kept wanting us to have things we didn't want, like an undermount sink, and glossy vinyl edging on our cupboards, but now that we're past him, things are great. I'm correcting the first draught of working drawings, and there are only minor issues so far. We were very impressed that they allow you to build anything you like.
We didn't go through with the job in the end as my partner fell pregnant so we had to save a few $ and postpone the work. We unfortunately did and they were atrocious. Took 2.5 years to get issues like poor workmanship, water leaks, faulty appliances etc sorted out – and that took threats of legal action. Last but not the least I haven't heard any positive reviews for Fairmont homes so they are out of my list. However, people have launched multiple complaints against the Integrity Home Warranty to The State of Washington Department of Financial Institutions . Also, it is neither licensed by them, nor registered for conducting business in Washington State.
So communication and trust was a key factor to the success of the build. We knew using Dean, Felicity and the local Trades, that we would be looked after all the way. The pricing was great and within our nomi... The construction department was a nightmare, and the house is less than great. We moved in 3 months ago we’ve already had one doorframe tear completely away from the house as they did not nail it into the house frame - which they fixed, but not well.
We look forward to the relationship of first home owners and builder. Darren was very approachable which meant communication during this build was excellent. Darren made recommendations at certain stages of the build which was highly appreciated. I also had access to the tradies at different times. Integrity were easy to work with from the beginning to end. Excellent finishing and quality of work.
Being a tri/split-level home with high, raked ceilings, it was not a simple job but will be completed on time and on budget. I would definitely work with these guys again and recommend INH Central Coast without reservation. Don Sutherland and his team have been excellent to work with on my project from start to finish - we expect to move in 1 June 2020. With every construction project there will be challenges along the way.
It was a dream for Andrew and I for a very long time to do this project. The process from start to finish with Dean and Felicity was incredibly professional and the attention to detail impressive. We built this house with Integrity Homes, mostly throughout the Covid lockdowns, from Victoria.
We built with Format Homes and they were great for us too. Any issues which came up during the build were dealt with very quickly and fairly. The sales talk was very convincing but the building quality of our house was well below what we expected. I'd got them to quote on doing some plastering / internal carpentry for me. It was a good price and I found them pretty honest and responsive.
